Panama came out under budget, which is always a nice way to start a trip. Below you will find the detailed breakdown for our expenses throughout the 7.5 days in this country.
Note: Panama uses the US $ as its official currency, which I often find increases costs. We did two nights of couch surfing in Panama City. The food somehow turned out quite pricy. This may have been because we ended up in quite a few expensive restaurants in Panama City, some inadvertently, some on purpose. Transportation costs were jacked up by the $33 cab ride from the aiport to the city.
